Macy’s Hispanic Heritage Event at Mall at Bay Plaza

As you may know, September 15-October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month. To celebrate, Macy’s is hosting a series of events around the country, which you can find out about here.

Here in the Bronx, the Macy’s at the Mall at Bay Plaza will be hosting an event featuring discussions with  Jasmine Villegas, Julie Sarinana of Sincerely Jules, and Kika Rocha. The event will be held THIS Friday, September 19, 2014 at 6:30 pm.

Macy’s Bay Plaza Opening Celebration Continues this Weekend

As noted in my previous post, there are all kinds of sales and events going on this weekend at the Mall at Bay Plaza. Macy’s sent over a run down of the events they’re having tomorrow. Check them out and let me know if you attend any of them!

2:00PM – Men’s Department, Main Floor – Macy’s welcomes legendary Bronx Bomber, Russell Earl “Bucky” Dent.  Customers will have the exclusive opportunity to meet the former shortstop and MVP and receive his autograph.

3:00PM – Kids Department, 3rd Floor – Families are invited to help kick-off the back-to-school season with a special appearance by Disney Channel’s “I Didn’t Do It” star, Austin North. Immediately following, children are invited to participate in arts and crafts and face painting. Also, with any $35 kids purchase, customers will receive a copy of the reading classic Curious George.

4:00PM – Juniors, 2nd Floor – Customers are invited to join BB Bronx as he performs his hit single, “Bronx Whine.” Following the performance, the first 100 customers will have the exclusive opportunity to meet him in person and receive his autograph.

The new Macy’s at the Mall at Bay Plaza boasts more than 160,000 square feet and three levels. This new, high-tech shopping destination offers a vibrant, customer friendly shopping environment for Bronx residents to enjoy.
