Fashion’s Night Out is about a week away, a chance for fashionistas and designers to be out on the town taking advantage of a myriad of sales, celebrity sightings/events, and debuts of fall fashion. (I personally just like to go for the free champagne and giveaways, I hate waiting in lines!).
Unfortunately, there are only two official FNO events in the Bronx this year (one listing is mistakenly listed as being in Williamsbridge, but it’s actually in Brooklyn, so it doesn’t count. Go figure.) they are:
Fashion to Figure, a plus size specialty clothing shop in Bay Plaza at 2252 Bartow Ave. Space 252. I couldn’t find any particular details about what their doing for FNO, but I’ll post an update if I find anything out.
Macy’s will feature exclusive FNO merchandise for sale at the Parkchester location at 1441 Metropolitan Ave. from 6-11 p.m.
I wish there were more independent clothing stores in the Bronx that could participate in Fashion’s Night Out, it’s such a huge international event and it would be awesome for some local stores to be a part of it. Through some light research (a.k.a. a quick glance at the first page of Google results), I couldn’t find any cool clothing boutiques or stores in the borough. If you know of any, definitely spread the word! The borough could totally do with more original stores, I think we’ve had enough of Pretty Girl and 10 Spot.
