Yesterday, the Bronx River Alliance hosted the first of a series of community paddling events on the Bronx River in Concrete Plant Park. After curiously eyeing the park from the 6 train, I was glad to finally be able to visit. The park itself is gorgeous and one of the most positive and drastic renovations I’ve ever seen.
Though I am generally terrified of anything that involves water higher than bath tub level, I really enjoyed canoeing and was able to get a lot of great pictures, including one from underneath the draw bridge. Check them out in the slideshow below.
