The Times has been on a roll lately. On yesterday’s City Room, we’re introduced to Chris Arnade, a Citigroup foreign exchange trader by day and an awe-inspiring photographer by night. Instead of golfing or whatever it is his Wall St. coworkers do in their spare time, Chris is out taking pictures of prostitutes and addicts in Hunts Point (as well as other very captivating characters in Brooklyn and Manhattan).
What’s most incredible is how open and honest his subjects are with him. It gives true meaning to the old adage, don’t judge a book by its cover. Here’s the link to the Bronx collection on his Flickr page, where you can also check out his other work.
